Astragalus Root

Astragalus Membranaceus Root has medicinal value. It has the effects of replenishing qi and elevating yang, consolidating the exterior and arresting sweating, inducing diuresis to relieve edema, promoting fluid production and nourishing blood, resolving stagnation and unblocking impediment, drawing out toxins and expelling pus, and healing sores to promote tissue regeneration.It is indicated for all syndromes of qi deficiency and blood deficiency, and can be used to treat fatigue caused by qi deficiency, poor appetite and loose stools, sinking of middle qi, chronic diarrhea with rectal prolapse, hematochezia and metrorrhagia with metrostaxis, spontaneous sweating due to exterior deficiency, edema, consumptive thirst with internal heat, sallow complexion from blood deficiency, hemiplegia, obstructive pain and numbness, abscesses hard to rupture, chronic unhealing ulcers, and cough due to lung deficiency.
